Every visit connects back to the same two people behind your recovery: Dr. Fabiolla Kopp, the physiatrist, a physician specializing in physical medicine and rehabilitation, who leads your care plan, and Veronica, the clinic coordinator who makes sure the details around it run smoothly. You will work with the same two people at every visit. That is deliberate. A small team means Dr. Kopp knows your history without reading it off a chart, and Veronica knows your name before you say it.
Founder and physiatrist
Welcome to Wellness by Physiatry. I'm Dr. Kopp. I founded Wellness by Physiatry to provide the best care available for brain injury survivors and their families. Our body doesn't work in separate parts, and neither should your health. That's why I left the hospital setting to be your quarterback during your recovery journey.
As a physical medicine and rehabilitation physician who specializes in brain injury rehabilitation medicine, I led patient care at TIRR Memorial Hermann Rehabilitation Hospital and Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital. Now, I want to be here to support you, your family and your caregivers on your journey.
Wellness by Physiatry is a Chicago-based clinic dedicated to delivering care that is unique to you. Because your care should fit you, we focus on your strengths and the challenges that are important to you. We are here to join you in your wellness journey. The umbrella in our logo means that we are all connected, and so are your symptoms. We support you every step of the way.

Clinic coordinator
Hi, I'm Veronica, the clinic coordinator here at Wellness by Physiatry. I bring organizational strength and a compassionate touch to our daily operations, and after more than 20 years working with patients in hospital settings, I still love the part of this work where I get to help someone directly.
To me, good service means going the extra step in every conversation, whether that is confirming your appointment, helping you find the right form, or just making sure you feel heard when you call. Wellness by Physiatry has also been an inspiring place to grow, and I am continually learning more about lifestyle medicine, knowledge every patient deserves access to.
Outside of work, I'm a proud mother of three energetic boys, two of whom are deeply involved in travel soccer. Our weekends are full of games, cheering from the sidelines, and celebrating their growth on and off the field.
