Clear Answers About Insurance, Billing, and Membership

Healthcare paperwork should not add to your stress. Here is what we accept, how billing works, and what membership looks like if you are paying for care yourself. If your question is not answered below, call us and we will walk through it with you.

How we handle insurance, billing, and membership

We accept most major insurance plans, and we also see patients who do not have coverage. Either way, you should know what is covered before your first visit, not after. The three paths below cover most situations. If yours does not fit neatly into one of them, call the clinic and we will sort it out together.

Most insurances

We accept BCBS, Aetna, United, Medicare, Medicaid, and most marketplace plans. Insurance contracts change throughout the year, so call us at (773) 312-4423 before your visit to confirm your specific plan is active with us.

Medicare & Medicaid

If you have Medicare or Medicaid, federal rules govern how we bill you and do not allow us to offer a reduced self-pay rate alongside your coverage. That is a rule we follow, not a choice we have made. Your Medicare or Medicaid benefits apply as usual, and our billing team can answer any specific questions about your plan.

Membership for the uninsured

If you do not have insurance, our membership gives you a structured way to access care. It includes your visits with Dr. Kopp and our educational resources to support your health at home. Prescriptions, labs, and outside therapies are billed separately and are not part of the base membership, with one set of labs included each year. Call us to talk through what membership looks like for your situation.

How to pay a bill

You can view and pay your bill anytime through our patient portal. If you run into any trouble accessing it, call our office at (773) 312-4423 and our team will take care of it over the phone.
